Compact & Lightweight Binoculars

A lightweight, compact pair of binoculars is an underestimated aid. Binoculars are not just for watching birds and other animals. From a kayak you have to find the right routes among outcrops and islands so that you don't head in the wrong direction. Binoculars can also help with route choices through valleys or over hills when out walking.

Our binoculars come in different sizes. All binoculars are marked with two numbers e.g 10x25. The first figure is the magnification. For example a 10x zoom makes objects appear 10 times closer. The second number is the lens diameter in mm, furthest from your eye. A combination of a small magnification and large lens produces a brighter view. For example a 7x50 pair of binoculars gives a brighter image than a 10x50 binocular, but the image magnification is smaller.
