Uvex Ski Helmet Technology
All Uvex ski helmets exceed the high standards of EN 1077, EN 1078, and/or ASTM F 2040. (You’ll find the certification stickers on the helmet.) All helmets comply with the European directive 89/686/EEC and have earned the CE mark. These are stringent engineering standards recognized worldwide to ensure the highest level of safety and quality. These standards are baselines, not goals. They are the starting point from which Uvex looks for ways to reduce weight, increase ventilation, improve aerodynamics, and add comfort.
Injected shell technology 
Uvex helmets are proven to effectively eliminate, reduce, and mitigate the consequences of impacts to the head. The outer shell absorbs and disperses impact forces. The inner shell inner shell absorbs and disperses the remaining energy. The lining acts as a final cushioning layer against the head.
Lockable multi air-channel ventilation system 
Most helmets feature an integral system that optimizes airflow for maximum comfort. This is easily adjustable in many models, even while wearing the helmet.The lockable feature allows the wearer to set it and forget it.

IAS 
A rotating disk located on the neck padding of the helmet controls IAS™ – the Individual Adjustment System. It’s intuitive to operate with one hand, and easily allows the wearer to micro-adjust the sizing of the helmet. This provides for the highest level of comfort as well as safety.
Monomatic 
Monomatic™ is Uvex’s simple and comfortable helmet closure device. The comfortably padded chinstrap securely attaches to the helmet with a simple-but-effective toothed strap. A round red button identifies the Monomatic device, and a simple push on the button releases the strap. This release is protected in a fall, can’t be accidentally opened, and yet operates with the convenient push of a button.
Headband holder 
Every uvex ski helmet is equipped with an integrated headband holder which securely connects the goggles with the helmet.
Removable ear pads
Some models permit the removal of the ear pads for increased comfort and air flow on warm days.
Natural sound system 
Uvex uses a particular membrane in the ear padding that is specifically developed for acoustical applications. This ensures that the helmet does not distort your hearing, and that no annoying drafts reach the ear.
