The Tilley T5 hat is massively durable, and designed for the hardest and toughest use. Made from the classic fabric that started it all - cotton duck, it won’t shrink but will keep the rain and sun off and can be tied on. "I have travelled to the middle east to work a few times now and have always had some sort of hat to protect me from the sun, the thing is they have always let me down be it shrinking and/or bleaching. "I've been after an all-round-brim style hat for some time and haven't found one that seems to suit me, until I found the Tilley range. Don't be put off by the premium price of Tilley's as you won't buy another once you've got one of these ... except perhaps another Tilley hat. Excellent fit, well tailored and comfortable. Well designed and thought out, the T5 which I bought is a top product that is suited to all year use. Good ventilation on warmer days and comfortable on a colder day too (we're in Britain afterall). The only tip I'd recommend is to perhaps get to a store to try one for size. Despite the well detailed size guide on the Tilley website, I calculated what I believed to be the right size but wasn't comfortable until I'd had chance to try one... I'd got the size wrong and found a size lower was a better and more comfortable fit. Size up in store somewhere, then come back and buy from here. You won't be disappointed." "Just for your imformation and to show how tough these hat are. I found a Tilley T5 on the sedges of a remote piece of coast line near Lymington, goodness knows how long it had been there, it was fithy full of sea weed wet stained with mud and silt half full of rotting sea weed etc.Brought it home washed it, found out it was white and am now wearing it. looks almost like new.Only mark is an oil stain which I think will bleach out in the sun given time."
