The Tilley LTM5 hat is massively durable, and designed for the hardest and toughest use. Made from Nylamtium® - Tilley’s own form of lightweight nylon, it is strong, water resistant and mildew-proof. "I needed something to keep the sun off my balding pate. Problem is, I don't have much tolerance for hats. I overheat. Tried this and have not looked back. Wife says it looks good. The straps work well in stiff breezes. Works very well in the wet - withstands a good soaking. The vent around the top keeps my head cool but would advise looking at a standard Tilley for cold weather. In fact, looking at buying a TWC7 now we've the wettest drought on record..." "Having tried on various Tilley hats I settled on the ltm5 due to it's soft feel in comparison to the other more rigid crowns. I have now used the hat in various conditions and have found it excellent my last trip being to Morocco where the temp was 50c. It is easy to care for and folds up for storage.After washing it dries quickly and can then be restretched to size. In extreem windy conditions ( lake district) the straps held the hat in place whereas others would prohably be in the Irish sea by now. Sizing was a bit of a problem but Pack Your Bags allowed me a trial period and changed the hat for a larger size with out any hassle. I would certainly buy another tilley, should the need arise ,but do not anticipate this happening " Would you recommend this product: Yes
