The Silva 58 Star Compass is a steering compass that can be mounted on almost any boat or vehicle.

The Silva 58 compass is part of the Silva Adventure series of compasses which are specially adapted for boats, kayaks, microlights and other vehicles. These compasses have special attachments to allow the compass to sit securely and be read at speed.

The compass has built in declination compensation up to ± 40 degrees.

"This Silva 58 Star Vehicle Compass is supremely accurate given the compensation adjustment. I have used this in my vehicle during tours in Europe and I found this extremely helpful. I had this fitted to the dashboard permanently and connected to the 12v supply from the lighting circuit. The light is a LED unobtrusive at night but very helpful and clear.
