"This compass may look like a toy but it is a supurb compass for the outdoor enthusiast's personal survival kit or for military E&E use. Better than most E&E compasses because it has a loop so you can hang it around your neck on a nylon thread. Used one in the jungle in Belize in extreme heat and humidity and also in Iraq in even higher heat in dusty conditions. I always carry a couple of them in my personal survival equipment. Really tough little, oil damped compass that performs within its +/- 5 degrees spec.Excellent survival compass" Would you recommend this product: Yes
