POC Frontal Ski Helmet
The POC Frontal Helmet is a free ride helmet with the main focus on ventilation. The solution combines three different ventilation systems in a hybrid of hard shell and in mold helmet.
At the front there is the POC patented VDSAP, a double shell solution where air is transported between two layers of shell, to avoid direct wind and to withstand penetration from sharp objects.
At the back, there are ventilation holes for the helmet to function as a chimney, where air is pulled from the front to the rear.
Finally, there are six ventilation holes that can be adjusted from the outside. The helmet has been developed in close collaboration with Jon Olsson.
POC Frontal Helmet Features:
- VDSAP Ventilated- Double-Shell-Anti-Penetration. The offset double shells with in molded aramid provides ventilation and resistance to penetration
- Hard rim of injected plastic gives durability and is the foundation for the ventilation in the front and rear parts ofthe helmet.
- In-mold upper part of the helmet. Provides excellent shock absorbtion and thanks to the in-molded aramid fibers it also has a reliable penetration-barrier.
- Generous ventilation in the upper part of the helmet. Adjustable from the outside by a sliding/turning mechanism.
- Fit system in the rear part allows a simple way of adjusting the helmet.
