A bit more than a shoe and not quite a boot.

Ideal if you really want some boot benefits but cannot cope with the idea of having the things on her feet! These Meindl Mid GTX boots are quite suitable for all general uses including low level hill use. They have a Nubuk leather/velour leather upper which is lined with GORE-TEX® XCR to make them waterproof.

Comfortable non-slip rubber profile sole with Kevlar inlay and EVA shock absorber.

The Mendl Maine attractive travel shoes feature a velour leather in the upper with a supple sole which makes the shoes very comfortable.

The sole has a very strong Kevlar® nylon heel stabiliser and a good shock absorption characteristic. A very safe and comfortable sole for rough terrain.

Shoe Sole - Meindl Magic Future, Kevlar®-inlay

Non-slip rubber profile with Kevlar® nylon heelstabiliser, EVA shock absorber and soft tread-area wedge.

Concave cross-section, high skid resistance at the edges, good shock absorption characteristics and self-cleaning profile with abrasive areas are the predominate elements of the Meindl Multigrip® sole, which is exclusively made for Meindl by Vibram®.



Shoe Footbed - MEINDL AIR-ACTIVE®-Technology

Meindl have worked intensively on technical innovations in boot design for years. One of our most important developments in boot design was the production of a multilayer system - the Meindl Air-Active® technology - consisting of

• Hydrophobic leather or alternately hydrophobic cordura inserts,
• Reticulated cushions without adhesive layers,
• Air drainage and Drysole® as a removable insole.

The bottom of the shoe is sealed with the "Bottom Fill" sealing technology developed and globally patented by GORE and when worn together with the right socks - provides a system that works in both summer and winter. International tests have demonstrated the quality of the Meindl Air-Active® technology, now ultimately enhanced by the GORE sealing technology.



Shoe Lining - GORE-TEX®

With GORE-TEX® in your boots and they are guaranteed to be waterproof.

Meindl - one of the first manufacturers of waterproof boots in the German-speaking countries - has incorporated the high-tech material in its waterproof boots for over 20 years.

GORE-TEX® is the only membrane that simulates the function of human skin: ultrathin, with approximately 1.2 billion tiny pores per cm2, this fine membrane is both impermeable to water vapor and water. The human body eliminates perspiration through the skin - GORE-TEX® wicks the perspiration away from the foot in the form of vapor.

Skin is impermeable to water - GORE-TEX® has a similar function. Water molecules are 20,000 times larger than a micropore, water cannot penetrate.

GORE conceals and combines the membrane together with various textiles to adapt the boot to different fields of application.

"I have recently got a pair of these Meindl Maine Mid GTX Boots to replace a summer pair I have had for quite a few years. I have now worn them on at least 5 occasions in the last couple of months on some fairly long walks both on low level foot paths and on higher ground and found them to be an excellent boot. They hardly needed any breaking in and have never given me any discomfort but always provided my feet and ankles with great support. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight boot. In terms of packyourbags as i work for the Company it would not be fair to comment other than to say we all work hard to acheive high levels of customer service.
