A warm hooded jacket, which requires minimal packing space in your backpack.

The Haglofs Barrier Hood, a mens insulated hooded jacket which uses Thermolite® Micro - a microfibre filling similar to down. This gives the jacket increased warmth and less bulk.

The Barrier Hood is highly breathable, which keeps your body dry and comfortable.

The jacket is highly wind resistant which keeps the cold out and is DWR treated to make the jacket water resistant. This keeps the fabric dry longer.

The Barrier Hood is also highly compressible, meaning it requires minimum packing space. A very important feature if you want to carry the jacket in your backpack.

"Very pleased with the jacket, the medium fit is good for a slim 5'11" man, more shoulder room than medium Rab Vapourise (which are quite narrow) but not loose. Good arm length also. I can get a vapourise and a hard shell on under it, but some may prefer a large when layering up like this. I generally throw it on over a soft shell and it's fine. Insulation wise the Haglofs Barrier Hood Jacket is a couple of steps up from the Rab photon hoodie, but below the Rab belay jacket and quite a bit below its big brother, the Barrier Zone Hood (which is one of the warmest synthetic jackets I've tried). Hood is nicely sinchable, although can look a bit alien like when its down at normal head (sans helmet) size! Swallows helmets easily. DWR is one of the most repellant I have encountered. wish I knew what it was coated with so I could find some more for when it eventually comes off. Recommended. Note, the clay one I received is not as white as it looks here, its more of a light sandy clay colour. " Would you recommend this product: Yes
